An Inside Job was a collaborative installation performance project lead by Jane Gotch with Abbe Findley, Katie Ford, Laura Frank, Laura Isaac, and Tiffany Sisemore. An Inside Job was presented May 18th, 2012 for The Charlotte Street Foundation’s show The Frontier at Paragraph Gallery in Kansas City, Missouri.

I photographed every meeting of the group and wrote letters to an unnamed “colleague” outside of Kansas City. The letters, written in walnut ink on cream rag-linen paper which I hand-painted to look like notebook paper, were displayed in the gallery from April 20th until the performance on May 18th. The letters were then mailed to random contacts outside of the Kansas City area on May 30th, 2012. Letters from the Frontier is a 9” x 6” black & white book containing all letters that were written and their accompanying photographs. Inside An Inside Job is a 9” x 6” black & white book containing all photos (over 650) that were taken by me during the process as part of the project.
